Hi, I’m Shannon Seaver, AKA Coach Seaver!

I LOVE being a career coach.
I’d LOVE the opportunity to support you, wherever you are in your career journey.
I’d LOVE to listen to your ideas, offer insights and explore your options together.

My Story

With over two decades dedicated to guiding individuals from diverse academic backgrounds toward successful careers, I've honed my expertise as a career development and higher education professional. My journey traverses nonprofit organizations, career center management, and higher education roles, where I empowered countless undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, in navigating their career paths. While my recent focus has been on supporting professionals in career transition, my passion for helping others has been my mission since I was a child. I've discovered profound satisfaction in the role of a career coach, where every interaction presents an opportunity to inspire and empower individuals on their unique career journeys.

As for a bit about my earlier years, I grew up in Carpinteria, California–and for a fun fact Carpinteria has the “World’s Safest Beach”. Following high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin—Madison and upon graduation, moved to Boston to begin a 19-year career.

In 2020, I decided to return to my home in California. I took a solo road trip across the country and 3 months, 22 states and 7,800+ miles later I made it. I worked for an educational technology company for a couple years. Now, having worked twenty years as a career coach for non-profit organizations, public and private colleges and an educational technology company, I am excited to start my career coaching business!
